Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Born in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. The name of her can also be stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from music bloggers and the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. This brought her some attention. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument hidden in her attic, then becoming enthralled by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to pursue music solely for fun or to aid in development but instead, she must pursue it. She started writing songs of her own. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. After her mother said that the songs she wrote were not meant to be famous for her, rather to help people to see their own value and impact in our world at large, she began singing them in public. As a young girl, she began to play the piano. At age nine, she, started writing songs. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known by her family until she was fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. She claims that she enjoys writing music. According to her, she believes that music can help any person feel better.
